Blace is a town and the seat of the municipality of the same name in the Toplički district. Blace is a town on the Blatašnica River, not far from Prokuplje, about 250 km south of Belgrade. Blace has a peripheral infrastructural position in relation to the main highway corridors, but it is a crossroads of roads to Kosovo and Metohija, Brus, Kruševac and Prokuplje, which represents a favorable transit position (the shortest connection between the Toplicka and Kruševac basins, through the Janko gorge). According to the latest census from 2022, the municipality of Blace has 9,763 inhabitants, while the settlement of Blace has 5,600 inhabitants.
