The city municipality of Mladenovac is one of the 17 city municipalities of the City of Belgrade and is located in the northern part of low Šumadija, at an altitude of 113 to 628 m above sea level (mountain Kosmaj). It covers the greater part of the Veliki Lug river basin, the left tributary of the Kubršnica, with the peripheral mountainous area of Kosmaj to the west. It is surrounded by the municipalities of Sopot, Grocka, Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka, Topola and Arandjelovac. Mladenovac has a favorable geographical position because it is located on the main traffic routes of Serbia. The Moravian-Vardar-Nišava railway, Belgrade - Niš - Sofia, passes through it, which enables excellent railway communication. With surroundings rich in natural beauty, spas and mineral waters, cultural and historical monuments, in the immediate vicinity of Kosmaj and close to Belgrade and the E75 highway, Mladenovac has all the conditions to be on the tourist map of Serbia.
