Aranđelovac is a town and municipality in Serbia. It is located at the foot of the Bukulja and Venčac mountains at an altitude of about 255 m above sea level, 76 km from Belgrade. The municipality includes two urban and 18 rural local communities. Bukovička spa is located in the city itself. Administratively, it belongs to the Šumadija district with its headquarters in Kragujevac. According to the latest census from 2022, the municipality of Aranđelovac has about 41,693 inhabitants, while the city of Aranđelovac has about 25,000 inhabitants. The favorable geographical position and natural conditions in the territory of the municipality of Arandjelova and its surroundings have created advantages for human life since ancient times. The existence of a Paleolithic station in a cave on Risovački brdo, east of Arandjelovac, is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries on the Balkan Peninsula. This diluvial - paleontological site indicates the existence of the man of that time in his immediate surroundings.
