Vrbas is a town settlement in Serbia in the municipality of Vrbas in the Južnobački District. The geographical location of Vrbas is characterized by a multitude of natural-geographic and socio-economic components and mutual influences. It occupies part of the space located in the geometric center of Bačka. The first mention of Vrbas in written sources dates from 1387. However, the history of Vrbas goes much further into the past. Thanks to archaeological investigations at the sites: Čarnok, Šuvak's farm and the Polet brickyard, much about the past of Vrbas is clearer to us.
