in Sremska Kamenica
Sremska Kamenica is an urban settlement of the city of Novi Sad in the Juznobački district, next to the Danube. It is part of the narrow city area of Novi Sad. It extends from the northern slopes of Fruška Gora to the right bank of the Danube. History recorded that 2,300 years ago, this region was ruled by the warlike Tribals, a powerful Illyrian tribe, for almost 2 centuries. However, 2,100 years ago, attracted by the beauty of Srem's hills, meadows and forests, the Celtic tribe Skordisci, better organized and disciplined, defeated the Tribals and ruled this region. The name Sremska Kamenica is certainly of Slavic origin, because even its first name 'Villa Kamanch' has the presence of the root of the Slavic word kamen, and it is assumed that it got its name from the stone found in its south and which was exploited for some time in Paragov.Would you like your company to be in our business catalogue?
