The municipality of Senta is located in Serbia, in the northern part of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, 42 km south of the Serbian-Hungarian border, on the right bank of the Tisa River. The northernmost point of the municipality is located at 45º 47' north latitude. The city boundary is located between 19º 50' and 20o 08' east longitude. The area of the municipality of Senta is 283.5 km2. In the north-south direction, it is at most 13 km wide, and in the east-west direction, the maximum length is 28.5 km. The municipality of Senta administratively belongs to four more village-type settlements: Gornji Breg, Bogaras, Tornjos and Kevi. The territory outside the city and the territory of the settlement are divided into areas: the city has 8 areas, Gornji Breg 6, Bogaras 4, Tornjoš 6 and Kevi 6 areas. According to the 2022 census, the municipality of Senta has 18,113 inhabitants (Gornji Breg 1926, Bogaras 724, Tornjoš 1766, Kevi 887 inhabitants), while 20,302 inhabitants live in the Senta settlement. 81% of the inhabitants of the municipality are Hungarians, 9% are Serbs, while 10% are of other nationalities.
