Mionica is a town settlement in Serbia in the municipality of Mionica in the Kolubara District. At the beginning of the 20th century, Mionica was divided into the village and the town of Mionica. The village of Mionica is located on both sides of the river Ribnica, a tributary of the river Kolubara. The town of Mionica, which began to be settled only in 1860, is located in the middle of the atar of the village of the same name. Mionica is today the municipal center. The Mionica Church, the Ascension Temple, today the oldest building in Mionica, was built in 1856. Struganik is located within the municipality of Mionica, widely known as the birthplace of Duke Živojin Mišić, which today is an extremely visited area, especially in mid-July when the traditional event "Mišić Days" is held every year. According to the latest census from 2022, the entire municipality of Mionica with its numerous villages, of which there are over thirty-five, has about 12,065 inhabitants, while the settlement of Mionica has about 3,000 inhabitants.
