The territory of the municipality of Čoka lies in the eastern part of the Pannonian plain, between Tisa, Moriš and Zlatica. In relation to Vojvodina, it extends in its northeastern part. The territory of the Čokan municipality borders the territories of four municipalities: Novi Kneževac in the north, Kikinda in the east, Senta and Ada in the west. In the east, part of it reaches the state border with Romania. Čokan municipality consists of eight settlements. These are: Čoka, Ostojićevo, Padej, Sanad, Jazovo, Vrbica, Crna Bara and Banatski Monoštor. The settlement of Čoka has 4,000 inhabitants and is the center of this municipality. The territory of the municipality has an area of 321 km2. According to the latest census from 2022, the municipality of Čoka has 8,614 inhabitants, while the settlement of Čoka has 4,000 inhabitants.
