Lajkovac is a town settlement in the municipality of Lajkovac in the Kolubara district in Serbia. About 3,500 inhabitants live in Lajkovac, while the entire municipality has slightly more than 13,871 inhabitants according to the 2022 census. Lajkovac is located in the valley of the middle Kolubara at an altitude of about 120m. The city is located on the left bank of the river, 69 kilometers from Belgrade on the Ibar highway, and 27 kilometers from Valjevo. Lajkovac is the seat of the municipality in the Kolubar district. One of the most important railway stations on the Belgrade-Bar railway, connected to Belgrade, Valjevo, Čačak and other places by a very busy bus service. Farming, animal husbandry, horticulture and fruit growing are the most developed economic branches in this municipality.
