Golubac is a settlement in Serbia in the municipality of Golubac in the Braničevo district. The settlement is located on the bank of the Danube, and not far from it is the fort of the same name. Golubački Grad or Golubac is a medieval fortress, a cultural monument of exceptional importance. It is located in the Đerdap National Park, on the right bank of the Danube, 4 km downstream from today's settlement. It is located on high cliffs, at the point where the river narrows, at the very entrance to the Djerdap gorge.
