Golija belongs to the inner zone of the Dinaric mountain system. It stretches in the west-east direction for about 32 km. In the western part it is curved towards the south, and in the eastern part towards the north. The two dominant peaks are the highest peak Jankov kamen (1833 m) and Crni vrh (1795 m). Golija is home to numerous rivers that divide its banks: Studenica, Brvenica, Moravica, etc. The touristic value of the geomorphological peculiarities of the Golija mountain is reflected in the spacious glades above 1200 m and peaks over 1400 m. Golija has a good basis for the formation of ski trails and for recreation in the form of gentle walks and hiking in almost untouched nature. Tourism is developing rapidly in Golia; in the last 10 years, Golija has received modern and well-maintained ski slopes, cable cars and accompanying ski facilities.
