Gadžin Han is a city settlement and the seat of the municipality of the same name, one of the eleven municipalities in the Nišava Administrative District. The territory of the municipality of Gadzin Han covers an area of 325 km2 and has 34 settlements. Gadžin Han is located 22 km from Niš, 53 km from Pirot and 70 km from Leskovac, in the Zaplanjska basin, on the valley sides of the Kutinska River, at the mouth of its right tributaries (Koprivnica River and Venežica), at the foot of Suva Planina (1810 m), Seličevica (903 m) and Babička Gora (1059 m) at an altitude of 270-320 m. About 1,300 inhabitants live in the Gadzin Han settlement, while the Gadzin Han municipality has 5,934 inhabitants according to the 2022 census.
