Donji Milanovac is a town settlement in Serbia in the municipality of Majdanpek in the Bor district. This place on the very bank of the Danube, in the immediate vicinity of the very important archaeological site of Lepenski Vir, is also the center of the Đerdap National Park. Until 1965, this settlement was the seat of the Municipality of Donji Milanovac, which consisted of the settlements: Boljetin, Donji Milanovac, Golubinje, Klokočevac, Miroč, Mosna and Topolnica. At that time, the independently inhabited town of Štrbac, which today is an integral part of the Golubinje settlement, was part of the municipality. After the abolition of the municipality, the entire area of the former municipality became part of the Majdanpek municipality. Donji Milanovac was previously called Poreč, it got its new name after Prince Milan Obrenović, the son of Prince Miloš who died early.
