Banatski Brestovac is a place in the South Banat District, in Vojvodina. It is located in the municipality of Pančevo, 21 km from Pančevo and 38 km from Belgrade. Banatski Brestovac is located near the Danube River. Brestovac got its Serbian name from the elm forest that surrounded the village at the time of settlement. Another version is that the first settlers, Serbs, came from the village of Brestovik, so they named the new village Brestovac in memory of the old region. There are 3,300 inhabitants in the settlement of Banatski Brestovac.
