Bač is a town settlement and the seat of the municipality of the same name in the Juznobački district. The history of Bac begins in the Bronze Age. A sword from that period that was found in the vicinity of today's Bac is kept in Budapest. Excavations near today's Bač from the Roman period show that there used to be a larger Roman settlement there, which perished due to the onslaught of the Barbarians. The settlement of Bač has about 6,000 inhabitants, while according to the latest census from 2022, the entire municipality of Bač has 11,619 inhabitants.
