Restaurant Sindjelic - a house of Stambolijas, this old house built in an old Serbian traditional way was built in 1875. Its first owner was Todor Stankovic ?Stambolija, a merchant with the title of court caterer in Istanbul. The house of Stambolijas got its name by him and kept it even today. In 1878 in the house of Stambolija was founded the rde cross of Nish. The house survived liberation wars, great wars, and meet the liberation in 1949 with its looks unchanged. In 1949 it was proclaimed as a monument of culture and cultural heritage. Because of the indifference and sloppiness the hose was decaying gradually and was becoming a ruin, until the moment when people from the company PUTNIK Nis got interested.
