ETNO VILLAGE BRANA
Etno Village Brana is located in the settlement of Rekovac, in the heart of Šumadija.

At the crossroads of roads that have meandered through Šumadija for centuries, nestled on the slopes of the Gledić Mountains and Juhor, lies Levač — a region rich in culture, natural beauty, and authentic tradition. Traveling through this gentle landscape, you will discover interesting people, stories, and scenery. You’ll visit monasteries, a river gorge with water still safe to drink, healing springs, and the Levač wine region — one of the oldest in Serbia.
The Levač table is known for its abundance and richness, and the gifts of nature in this region are countless.
Wooden forest cabins, earth houses, stilt cottages, fresh air, and a clean lake shimmering with bluish-green reflections from the surrounding forests and orchards take you back to ancient times, awaken the authentic spirit of Serbia, and give charm to the ECO HAMLET BRANA, lovingly maintained by diligent hosts devoted to their homeland.
In Eco Hamlet Brana, the traditional way of preparing food is carefully preserved. Dishes are cooked on a “Smederevac” (traditional wood stove) or grilled over open fire in massive earthenware pots, using homegrown ingredients.
From the oven of the Smederevac come the aromas of freshly baked bread and cornbread (proja), while flatbreads with soda bake on the hotplate. Along with these dishes, we recommend the LEVAČ BREAKFAST, which includes homemade kajmak (clotted cream), cheese, yogurt, rolls, and homemade cured meats, all accompanied by a glass of our rakija (fruit brandy).
Within the hamlet, you can show your sporting spirit on the volleyball or mini-football courts, or play table tennis.
For summer days, there’s our eco-pool and hammocks for relaxing in the forest, while in winter you can enjoy Finnish barrels that you heat yourself. The saunas are available year-round.
Children are our priority, and their zone is our main oasis — featuring an outdoor kitchen for little chefs, slides, a mini pool for active kids, a sandbox, seesaws, swings, and even a straw house, just in case a wolf happens to pass by!
To explore the surroundings, you can use our bicycles or electric bikes. Our Campfire Area (Ognjište) awaits if you wish to prepare your own barbecue, stew, or traditional sač meal — or simply relax by the crackling fire under the open sky. The campfire area also offers evening movie screenings and outdoor sports match viewings.
